About Me

I have had the travel bug for many years. An early trip to Europe with my parents exposed me to new sights, cultures, and languages. I completed a study abroad in Paris years later and, like many others, fell in love with the city. Trips to the Loire Valley and the South of France left me wanting to see more of La Belle France and that continues to be the case many years later.

I traveled alone throughout France and Europe, spent a few months in Japan, and visited a few other countries along the way. I learned a lot about solo travel, how to do it safely, and how to feel comfortable and confident in the process. My husband and I got married a few years ago and now make treks across the pond together. We have a special spot in our hearts for Brittany, France, and plan to make it our home in the not-so-distant future. Until then, we travel as often as our work schedules allow (usually 3-4 times a year) and within Schengen Visa limits.

This travel and lifestyle blog allows me to bring YOU, my readers, along as I get a warm, buttery croissant or pastry at the local Boulangerie, buy fresh produce and cheese at the weekly market, chat with friends and local shopkeepers, visit castles and walk through enchanted forests.

If you are a fellow travel lover, this page is for YOU! Perhaps you are a mental traveler, and want to experience the sights, smells, recipes, and stories from Brittany from the comfort of your own home. If so, then this blog is for you too! I also have some great advice on packing right and light and I’ll share those tips with you as well! You might even pick up some French words and phrases along the way!

Please subscribe to my blog so that you can come on this journey with me. I’d love to hear from you, so please leave me a comment about your favorite post and why it spoke to you. À bientôt!
